What does treatment look like?
The first visit: You fill out a health intake to form in order so we are aware of issues that are going on with your health, including injury/accident history, surgical history, and any medical diagnoses.
From there we can begin to set goals for the treatment to ensure that we are on the same page with regards to the timeline and the expectations of the treatment. Treatment will then begin with active and passive motion tests to see where your body has stopped moving properly. The first treatment begins with a very global approach to “clear the smoke”. Although the first treatment is not typically a solution for all problems, it helps to realign and stabilize the body, and give you a glimpse of what true health could feel like when your posture is improved. Motion tests are always repeated at the end of treatment to verify that motion has been improved.
After the initial session, we should have a better understanding on what treatment dose is best, based on how you recover from the initial treatment. It is normal for the body to be sore for a few days following a treatment, as the body “shakes off the rust” and begins to move better.
